Senior PL/SQL Developer - ODS

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join a leading Saudi bank's technology team, designing and maintaining high-performance data solutions for the Operational Data Store (ODS) environment. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to a developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL depth and prior exposure to banking or financial-services data environments, who can work independently on complex data pipelines feeding core banking systems into the ODS.

• Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Build and maintain ETL/data-load routines feeding the ODS from core banking and source systems.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and execution-plan analysis.
• Design data models and support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across ODS and downstream reporting systems.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data requirements and translate them into database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues within agreed SLAs.
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and unit/system test cases.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c), including performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing/ODS concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Experience working with large-scale banking data (core banking, CRM, AML, or similar).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Unix/Linux) for job scheduling and automation.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to data accuracy and completeness.

Must-Haves

• 7+ years Oracle PL/SQL development
• Prior banking/financial-services experience (mandatory)
• Oracle DB performance tuning expertise
• Unix/Linux shell scripting

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica)
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools consuming ODS data
• Knowledge of banking regulatory reporting requirements
