About This Opportunity  

An exciting fixed-term opportunity has become available within our Widening Participation team, following internal career progression. Step into a role with real purpose as a Reporting and Evaluations Officer, where you’ll collect, analyse and interpret data to shape and enhance programs that support students from underrepresented backgrounds driving meaningful change and better outcomes across UQ.

 

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Designing, administering and managing surveys and other data collection activities to gather meaningful insights on program reach, participant experiences and outcomes.

  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting complex quantitative and qualitative datasets to support reporting, evaluations, briefings and strategic decisions -making.

  • Preparing high-quality reports for internal stakeholders and external  requirements including government requirements.

  • Coordinating program evaluations and contributing to the design of a robust evaluation framework

  • Identifying trends, insights and opportunities to improve program design, delivery and impact

  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the University to align data collection and reporting with strategic priorities

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of data collection methodologies, survey instruments and evaluation processes to ensure data quality and usability.

About You   

You’re a detail-oriented analyst who enjoys translating data into clear, actionable insights. You bring a strong understanding of equity programs and thrive in a collaborative environment.

You will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in data analysis, evaluation, or a related field

  • Proven ability to analyse dynamic datasets and generate meaningful insights using tools such as Excel or Business Objects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to diverse audiences

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • An understanding of equity-focused initiatives within higher education (highly regarded)

  • Hold (or be eligible to obtain) a Queensland Government Blue Card
