Operate at scale – Maintain high-capacity links (10 GbE – 100 GbE), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and firewall policies to meet strict latency and uptime targets.
Automate first – Use Ansible, Python, or Terraform to turn repetitive tasks into reproducible playbooks and CI/CD pipelines.
Incident first-responder – Tri-level troubleshooting (physical, logical, cloud edge) for P1/P2 events; rotate in a 24×7 on-call schedule.
Document & share – Keep diagrams, runbooks, and change records current so the wider Ops and SRE teams can move quickly.
Security mindset – Partner with InfoSec to harden configs, manage certs/keys, and remediate vulnerabilities with switch upgrades.
