We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment. The role involves a balance of project-based engineering work and business-as-usual (BAU) operational support, with participation in a structured 24/7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have strong routing and switching expertise, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively within change management processes. The role is a hybrid of working from home, with occasional travel to office or data centre locations within the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and develop enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
Design, implement, and support network solutions including routing, switching, and VPN services.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF-based network environments.
Create and maintain high-level and low-level network documentation, including diagrams and configuration standards.
Monitor network performance and resolve complex incidents and connectivity issues.
Work closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and service providers to deliver network projects and resolve incidents.
Follow formal change management processes, ensuring all changes are documented, validated, and implemented with minimal risk.
Balance project delivery alongside BAU operational responsibilities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the adoption of automation or scripting where appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies.
Fundamental knowledge and practical experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
Proven experience in deploying and supporting VPN configurations.
Experience working within structured change management frameworks.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across project work and operational support.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong documentation skills, with experience producing both high- and low-level designs.
Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto network and security platforms.
Exposure to automation and scripting technologies (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Previous experience supporting 24/7 enterprise environments.
