The Role

Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a senior marketing technologist to join our CRM Technology team, who is responsible for developing scalable solutions for CRM marketing messaging channels – Email, SMS, Push, Content Cards etc.

As a senior marketing technologist on the team, you will work with CRM Technology and Marketing team to develop new and improve existing personalization features and components to enhance channel performance and customer experience and provide guidance and inputs on key architectural decisions.

You will have the opportunity to tackle significant development challenges, such as developing new iterations of critical components for our codebase and optimizing our codebase and CRM automations for resilience as they scale. Your Impact

  • Lead and own the development, and management of scalable solutions and processes for CRM team marketing message synchronous composition across channels, using various languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid and data manipulation language such as SQL etc.
  • Implement agile and scalable development practices for messaging codebase ensuring content accuracy and rendering quality across email devices and versions.
  • Collaborate with CRM Engineering Team to develop and maintain highly personalized component library ensuring CRM Data Science Team is enabled to capture accurate and standardized meta data for measurement and retargeting.
  • Collaborate with CRM Analytics Team to ensure message components and message journeys configurations output the expected and standardized meta data for seamless reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with CRM Marketing Team with the goal of developing standardized, user friendly, scalable message building solutions.
  • Using CRM Team technology platforms, you’ll enable new features and data attributes in the marketing platform for marketing initiatives.
  • Work with other developers and IT colleagues to oversee code and feature releases.
  • Support and mentor members of the development team and marketing partners with knowledge share, open communication, and teamwork.
  • Plan out projects and be involved in project management decisions.
  • Construct hypotheses to issues, seek solutions and apply Email, Push, SMS industry best practices to improve overall CRM program quality.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and a changing environment, including Email, Push, SMS industry changes.
  • Assist and train CRM team members on processes and feature best practices as it pertains to the capabilities and functionality within the marketing platform and other applicable applications.
  • Be the subject matter expert in marketing platform functionality and operations.
  • Own and maintain documentation related to email development processes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ensure all work being produced meets the highest standards, is error free, and delivered on time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application/solution problems.
  • Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible.
  • Research & recommend new best practices, efficiencies, and process improvements; be an established CRM messaging features subject matter expert.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned as needed.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. is preferred
  • Expert in HTML, CSS, especially modular codebase design; expert in templating language(s) such as Liquid, AMPScript, RPL or JavaScript, experience with APIs and SQL.
  • 6+ years’ experience in working with enterprise level marketing automation technology platforms such as SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys or Braze etc.
  • 3 + years of experience in working with marketing platform Braze
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in producing automated, data driven marketing campaigns and automations (plan, build, test, edit, and deploy)
  • Experience working with VSCode, Dreamweaver, and GitHub
  • Possess a strong technical background, including knowledge of integrating multiple platforms and marketing channels.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively, strategically and identify and resolve problems.
  • Solution oriented; positively impact the environment of his or her team and others with whom he or she interacts.
  • Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution related to execution of CRM messaging campaigns & automations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of data management and database concepts.
  • Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels and tactics.
  • This candidate is organized, methodical, detail oriented, is prepared to recognize opportunities for optimization and scaling development processes, works well independently and with others, can communicate complex technical processes in simplified way, stays up to date with email community and email marketing latest trends.
