Job DescriptionNielsen is looking for a Senior Marketing, SEO to lead the organic search and content strategy efforts on Nielsen.com. Operating at the intersection of technical search and creative storytelling, you will be the primary driver of our organic growth engine. Reporting to the Director, Website Strategy, you will be responsible for defining the technical requirements for discoverability and scaling a content strategy that succeeds in the age of LLM-driven search (AIO) and traditional search engine algorithms. You will serve as a strategic partner to Creative, Tech, and Demand Gen teams to ensure our insights are not only discoverable but authoritative. We need someone who is hands-on, aggressive in testing, and laser-focused on growth. ***Responsibilities
Strategic SEO & Content Planning
Develop and own the overarching SEO and content strategy for Nielsen.com and owned digital sites in collaboration with the Director of Web Strategy.
Develop a roadmap and drive execution of SEO initiatives to meet aggressive business goals for organic growth.
Apply a metrics-driven approach to help inform content creation, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
Collaborate with the Creative and Content Teams to produce new and revise existing content in creative, attention-grabbing ways that satisfy both human intent and LLM-driven search preferences.
Technical SEO & Discoverability
Define the technical SEO workstream across all site properties, partnering with Web Ops Team, Developers and Data Science to highlight business needs for enhancements.
Architect search-friendly information structures that support digital journeys and aid users in accomplishing goals intuitively.
Serve as the technical lead for site architecture, schema markup, and performance optimization in our CMS environments (WordPress VIP and Webflow).
Serve as the primary admin and power-user for enterprise SEO tools (BrightEdge).
Cross-Functional Operations & Execution
Work cross-functionally to streamline content workflows, increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
Coordinate with the Paid Media team to align keyword research and implement holistic SEM strategies.
Partner with channel teams (Social, Email) to leverage existing audience touchpoints to power organic efforts.
Work with international teams to provide keyword research and guidance across multiple global markets and languages.
Conduct content audits and gap analysis, providing SEO training to content contributors on tagging and keyword strategy.

Deep experience working within modern CMS platforms like WordPress VIP and Webflow.
Strong ability to translate complicated technical concepts (schema, site structure, indexing) into intuitive web user experiences.
Experience in complex product verticals, specifically within SaaS or data technology companies.
Strong working knowledge of AI tools and their application to SEO (e.g., prompt engineering for content, AIO strategies, and automated insight generation).
A test-and-learn mindset with the analytical fluency to read performance data and apply it to creative and technical decisions.
