Summary:

The Business Operations Senior Marketing Analyst position actively assists in facilitating Fuels Value Chain North goals and strategies through analyzing data and providing recommendations for action to management. The individual will have the opportunity to interact with FVC Marketing field personnel and management as well as internal customers (IT, Pricing/Trading, BP&A, Tax, Finance, and Accounting). Along with the below referenced responsibilities, this individual will have the opportunity to participate in both internal projects as well as cross-organizational projects. The position is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter, proficient in Microsoft Excel and innovative analytical vision, to thrive in a dynamic environment, and to gain exposure to many areas of the corporation.

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility will be conducting analysis using a financial model specific to Brand Marketing to assist the Regions in commercial offer construction.
  • Maintain and support Cost of Supply System used for Marketing benchmarks.
  • Maintain and facilitate MIPS Transfer Price Updates used for Financial reporting.
  • Become a SME of Marketing Excel Cubes (OPIS, Sales Forecast, TMR, etc.) to assist Regions with contract analysis and forecasting. Assist with developing training materials to help new Territory Managers learn how to use Cubes and Visualization (Power BI) tools.
  • Provide backup coverage for the FVC Pricing teams.
  • Conduct comprehensive reporting consisting of various responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly to long-term (annual and multi-year) comparisons.
  • Carries out a wide variety of non-routine analytical work and presentation development as may be required by leadership of FVC.
  • Participate in annual Business Plan process and look for opportunities to streamline this process with BP&A.
  • Provides organizational support in assisting management in the ongoing development and analysis of data necessary to evaluate and monitor competitive market information, measure the profitability of various classes of trade, develop custom reports and solutions, formulate recommendations to management, and assist in implementing programs.
  • Recommend and implement improved procedures for updating manual reports through the use of newer technology (Power BI, Alteryx, etc.). Prior experience in these tools not required.
  • Assist in analysis and data gathering for “ad-hoc” projects as they arise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required.
