Role Summary
GEICO’s Marketing department is seeking an experienced and analytically strong professional to join the Marketing Analytics team as a Senior Marketing Analyst. This role will partner closely with marketing stakeholders to deliver high quality analyses that inform marketing optimization, investment decisions, and ongoing performance management.
At the Senior level, the analyst is expected to independently execute complex analyses, select appropriate analytical methods, and translate findings into clear, decision oriented insights. The role emphasizes hands on analytical execution, strong data judgment, and effective stakeholder communication, while operating within established analytical frameworks and best practices.
In Direct Mail (DM) support, this role partners closely with Direct Mail channel owners to inform targeting strategy, ROI optimization, and performance measurement, coordinating with shared marketing analytics resources as needed. The role supports a test-and-learn approach for DM programs (e.g., holdouts, offer tests, creative tests), translating results into practical recommendations on targeting, budget allocation, and program design.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently source, evaluate, and combine relevant datasets, understanding data definitions, tradeoffs, limitations, and appropriate use cases.
- Apply robust analytical techniques such as cohort analysis, segmentation, trend analysis, and driver analysis to assess performance and identify insights.
- Select appropriate analytical methods based on business context rather than defaulting to preexisting approaches.
- Break down ambiguous or loosely defined requests into structured analytical plans and collaborate with stakeholders when requests are not well scoped or analytically sound.
- Perform strong self QA, including validation of logic, assumptions, joins, filters, and calculations, ensuring accuracy prior to stakeholder delivery.
- Document analytical work to support reproducibility, transparency, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop clear, decision-oriented narratives that highlight insights, implications, and recommended next steps — not just data outputs.
- Present findings to stakeholders, field questions, and explain assumptions, limitations, and tradeoffs in a clear and professional manner.
- Manage multiple analyses or projects concurrently by setting realistic timelines, proactively communicating risks, and adjusting priorities as needed.
- Provide technical mentorship to entry-level or less experienced analysts, sharing best practices in data sourcing, analysis, and documentation.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset by proactively seeking feedback, showing resilience when priorities shift or analyses are challenged, and continuously improving analytical quality and business context.
- Collaborate with peers and managers to improve recurring analyses, templates, and embedded analytics workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar).

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) as a power user—able to interpret dashboards, validate metrics, and translate business needs into clear dashboard/reporting requirements for a Business Intelligence team.
- Demonstrated ability to independently execute analyses, select appropriate methodologies, and deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.

- Experience influencing data governance, metric standardization, or analytical best practices across teams.
- Exposure to marketing measurement approaches such as media mix modeling, attribution, or experimentation.
