The Role

The Senior Market Insights Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering timely, credible, and actionable market and industry insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

This role serves as a central source of truth for what is happening in the equipment, construction, and industrial markets. The Senior Market Insights Specialist synthesizes macroeconomic data, industry trends, and internal company data to create clear, executive-ready narratives used by Strategic Accounts teams, senior leaders, and external partners.

This role is outward-facing by design and regularly engages with industry associations, OEMs, and strategic partners. The Market Intelligence & Insights Manager ensures internal teams and leaders are equipped with current, data-backed perspectives on industry conditions and emerging trends.

Responsibilities

Market & Industry Intelligence

• Monitor and analyze macroeconomic indicators and industry drivers impacting equipment and construction markets, including GDP growth, labor trends, corporate earnings, construction spending, and sector-specific investment activity.
• Track and interpret trends across construction, industrial, rental, and used equipment sectors.
• Develop informed perspectives on current and emerging industry dynamics.

Internal Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze internal data sources, including utilization, rental rates, retail values, auction volumes, and inventory levels.
• Identify emerging trends, inflection points, and anomalies in the equipment and rental markets.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, relevant insights for internal and external use.

Strategic Account & Leadership Enablement

• Partner closely with Strategic Accounts, Sales, and Account Management teams to understand client needs and anticipated market questions.
• Provide market insights to support high-level conversations with OEMs, dealers, and strategic partners.
• Participate in select strategic account meetings, OEM engagements, and dealer meetings as a market insights resource.

Industry Engagement & External Presence

• Participate in industry associations, working groups, and select external forums.
• Gather market intelligence through association involvement and industry engagement.
• Deliver targeted presentations during association meetings or industry forums as needed.

Content Development & Insight Distribution

• Develop professional, visually clear presentations and materials for internal and external audiences.
• Support executive briefings, strategic account reviews, QBRs, and industry events with market insights content.
• Proactively distribute insights, reports, and data visualizations to ensure stakeholders remain informed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal data, pricing, valuation, and commercial teams to ensure insight accuracy and consistency.
• Serve as a bridge between raw data and executive-level interpretation.
• Ensure market messaging aligns with company strategy and positioning.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in market research, industry analysis, business intelligence, or corporate strategy.
• Experience in construction, heavy equipment, industrial, rental, or B2B capital goods sectors strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Experience presenting to senior leaders and external partners.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic indicators and their industry impact.
