What You'll Do:
CoreWeave's Talent Acquisition team is scaling recruiting and sourcing leadership to keep pace with our hyper-growth. This role owns technical/engineering recruiting for John Mancuso's org — bringing structure, consistency, and strategic direction to a team that's currently more distributed than our growth demands. You'll eventually report into our incoming Director of Business Recruiting as that leadership layer comes online.
About the Role:
As Sr. Manager, Recruiting, you'll lead a pod of technical and engineering-focused recruiters and sourcers, owning full-cycle hiring outcomes for some of CoreWeave's most competitive technical roles. You'll partner directly with senior engineering stakeholders to translate hiring needs into sourcing strategy, bring operational rigor to a team that's ready for it, and build the systems (pipeline reviews, capacity planning, reporting) that let us scale predictably. This is a build role: you're not stepping into a mature machine, you're building one.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead a high-performing pod of technical/engineering recruiters and sourcers
- Partner directly with senior engineering leaders to turn hiring needs into effective pipeline strategy
- Establish a consistent operating cadence — pipeline reviews, capacity planning, reporting — across the team
- Drive measurable improvement in pipeline health, time-to-fill, and conversion rates using data
- Coach and develop recruiters and sourcers, raising the bar on execution and judgment
- Own end-to-end hiring outcomes for technical/engineering roles across the org
- Partner with People, Comp, and HRBP stakeholders on leveling, offers, and calibration
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical/engineering recruiting experience, including experience in a people-management or team-lead capacity
- Proven experience leading a recruiting and/or sourcing team (pod, team, or org) in a high-growth environment
- Demonstrated track record hiring technical/engineering talent (software engineers, applied scientists, infrastructure, or similar) at scale
- Experience partnering directly with senior technical stakeholders (VP+ or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience using recruiting data and metrics (pipeline conversion, time-to-fill) to drive process improvements
- Able to work from the New York City area
Preferred:
- Experience recruiting specifically within AI/ML or infrastructure engineering domains
- Experience standing up or improving recruiting operations/tooling (ATS workflows, sourcing tech stack)
- Experience partnering with People Business Partners on org design or workforce planning
Wondering if you're a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we've found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we'd love to talk.
- You're energized by ambiguity and enjoy building structure where none exists yet
- You're a "player-coach" — just as comfortable recruiting hands-on as you are coaching a team
- You're curious about AI infrastructure and want to deepen your domain expertise
- You bring data-driven rigor without losing the relationship-building side of recruiting
