Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager – Site Acquisition to join our Data Center Development team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end site acquisition lifecycle—from identification, due diligence, and commercial negotiations through to final transaction closure—to secure high-quality, expansion-ready sites for data center developments. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary network of real estate, legal, engineering, power, regulatory, and finance experts to drive scalable infrastructure growth across target markets.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and commercial negotiation of strategic data center sites, securing commercially viable site-control structures, agreements, Letters of Intent, and Memorandums of Understanding.

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners—including legal, finance, engineering, and power procurement—as well as external utilities, brokers, landowners, and government authorities to execute transactions and validate site viability.

  • Ensure compliance with company investment frameworks, governance standards, statutory approvals, land-use zoning, and environmental risk requirements throughout the site selection process.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years of experience in site acquisition, commercial real estate, or large-scale infrastructure development, with a strong background in data center or hyperscale projects.

  • Strong knowledge of data center site selection, power and utility infrastructure assessment, land due diligence, and commercial transaction management.

  • Proven ability in high-stakes negotiations, risk mitigation, financial evaluation, and navigating complex government and local stakeholder relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (a Master of Business Administration or Post Graduate Diploma in Management is an advantage)
