Summary:
The Portfolio Manager, Workflow Transformation serves as the portfolio orchestration and governance lead within the Workflow Transformation & Architecture organization. This role manages the integrated transformation portfolio across initiatives, pilots, roadmap workstreams, vendor engagements, implementation sequencing, and operational readiness activities.
Working directly with the Leader, Workflow Transformation & Architecture, this role coordinates across Operating Model Design, Transformation Delivery, Operating Model Enablement, Offshore Partner Strategy, Data Reporting, Client Service Delivery, and other cross-functional partners to align priorities, surface dependencies, manage risks, escalate decisions, and provide executive visibility into progress, trade-offs, and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the Workflow Transformation portfolio, maintaining visibility across initiatives, pilots, roadmap workstreams, vendor engagements, operational improvement efforts, and implementation readiness.
• Coordinate planning, prioritization, governance, reporting, and executive review routines across Operating Model Design, Transformation Delivery, and Operating Model Enablement functions.
• Maintain a portfolio-level view of resource demand, capacity constraints, sequencing trade-offs, and implementation readiness across transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate portfolio visibility across vendor-supported initiatives, ensuring vendor-dependent milestones, risks, decisions, and delivery impacts are reflected in portfolio governance.
• Maintain the integrated transformation roadmap, including initiative sequencing, milestones, decision points, dependencies, risks, issues, resource needs, and operational transition activities.
• Partner with Transformation Architects to translate roadmap priorities, capability plans, future-state designs, and investment recommendations into executable portfolio plans.
• Partner with Transformation Delivery leaders and Operating Model Enablement / Process Design & Governance to incorporate scope, UAT/pilot status, rollout readiness, process impacts, SOP needs, adoption risks, and governance requirements into portfolio plans.
• Develop portfolio dashboards, status reports, executive scorecards, steering committee materials, transformation metrics, and value-realization reporting.
• Facilitate leadership alignment on priorities, sequencing decisions, investment recommendations, open risks, resource constraints, and portfolio changes.
• Help establish portfolio management standards, intake processes, governance frameworks, reporting templates, risk/issue routines, and transformation operating rhythms.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Organizational Leadership, Program Management, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, transformation management, operational excellence, consulting, PMO leadership, technology-enabled change, or enterprise initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives, programs, or cross-functional workstreams within a structured governance environment.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to develop decision-ready materials, portfolio summaries, leadership recommendations, dashboards, scorecards, and governance updates.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, surface trade-offs, facilitate decision-making, and align stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Product, Data Reporting, Vendor Partners, Process Design / Operating Model Enablement, and leadership teams.
• Strong PowerPoint, Excel, project/portfolio reporting, and presentation development skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, create structure, drive follow-through, and influence without direct authority.
Relevant Experience
• Experience in enterprise PMO, transformation office, strategic initiatives, program governance, or cross-functional business transformation.
• Experience supporting transformation roadmaps, initiative sequencing, prioritization routines, investment tracking, business cases, and executive governance forums.
• Experience managing risks, issues, actions, dependencies, decision logs, milestone plans, resource needs, and stakeholder alignment across complex initiatives.
• Experience with workflow modernization, automation, AI-enabled transformation, process transformation, service delivery improvement, technology implementation, or vendor-supported delivery initiatives is preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI Portfolio Management, Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar certifications are considered a plus but are not required.

• The Workflow Transformation portfolio is visible, structured, and aligned to the Unified Operations Workflow roadmap.
• Leadership has timely, accurate visibility into portfolio health, risks, dependencies, decisions, expected outcomes, and delivery progress.
• Portfolio governance routines enable effective prioritization, sequencing, investment, resource, and trade-off decisions.
• Cross-workstream dependencies, risks, and execution blockers are identified early and actively managed.
• Vendor engagements, pilots, roadmap initiatives, and operating model enablement activities are coordinated under a unified portfolio structure.
• Transformation work moves from strategy to execution with stronger discipline, accountability, transparency, measurable value realization, and follow-through.
