As a Sr. Manager of Product Management - Enterprise Data, you will lead and coach a team of Product Managers, making key contributions to WPE’s Enterprise Data vision and mission. This involves strategic and priority decision making, roadmap formulation and maintenance, and guiding the discovery (what, why, scope)  and incremental execution of data initiatives. As the Senior Manager of Product Management for Enterprise Data, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our internal data products. These products are foundational and power everything from our strategy and long-term objectives to the daily operations of every department. You and your team will work in close partnership with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring the delivery of essential data drives business success, while simultaneously enhancing the capabilities of our internal data platform. Your expertise in product management and technical understanding will be crucial in leading continuous advancements and improvements through strategic initiatives.

• People leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of Product Managers, fostering their professional growth and development

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization (Business Insights, Business Transformation, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Experience, Product & Engineering), developing a deep understanding of our business and a data strategy that supports the needs of our rapidly growing and changing business

• Work with Data Engineering architects and leadership to create and implement a technical product strategy for our data infrastructure

• Work with your team of Product Managers to build and groom a prioritized product backlog and roadmap by leading negotiation and trade-off discussions with key partners.

• Work closely with engineering teams to design, scope, schedule, and incrementally deliver new data assets and for improving and evolving existing ones.

• Communicate the team's work and the value it creates.

• Cultivate a high performance mindset, setting high standards and clear expectations.

• Be an advocate for maintaining high quality and highly maintainable data assets through best practices and standards.

• Drive improvements in process and delivery cadence across the team.

• 10+ years of Product Management experience in data-heavy environments (data engineering, data analytics, or data science)

• 5+ years leading and mentoring product managers. 

• Deep understanding of data-centric technologies, including databases, data replication, data warehousing, data transformations, data processing frameworks, and data governance. SQL, FiveTran, Monte Carlo, dbt, BigQuery, Data Hub, Tableau are a big plus

• History of successfully launching and managing the product lifecycle across multiple data-centric products

• High attention to detail, understanding of business strategy and metrics, and experience leading multiple, contending priorities with demonstrated success in influencing key partners across multiple functions in an organization

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex data product features, technical designs, and product strategy effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership

• Solid knowledge and experience in the software implementation life-cycle, especially in the context of data product development (Agile, iterative, incremental, observability, etc.)

• Ability to work effectively with a remote team across multiple time zones

The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level.
