As an Engineering Manager on the Platform team at ZEDEDA, you will lead your team to build a highly available, scalable and reliable platform that is essential to the business. You will be responsible for delivery of products and features shipped by your team. You will work with strong engineers and customers to help ensure that we continue to build excellent products with new and improved features.

Qualifications

• Great at hiring and developing high caliber talent, especially leadership
• Has experience scaling engineering orgs from 5 to 50+
• Team player that will work with other departments (PM, Sales, CS)Managed teams that build and operate high volume distributed systems in a SaaS environment
• Solid understanding of distributed, microservice based systems and building services on top of containers
• Experience building and running extremely reliable platform systems supporting high-scale and critical workloads, including running a 24x7 on-call, 99.95+% availability, fast response and short mean-time-to-restore service
• Ability to dive deep as needed to facilitate technical strategy trade-offs and zoom out to understand the big picture to shape the product
• Experience with hands on software architecture, design, and implementation in all areas of technology, architecture, data design, and user interface
• Bring rigor to decision making and drive down ambiguity with the right mix of collecting data, seeking input, farming for dissent, and making pilot investments to build understanding or confirm direction
• Experience with documenting code and platform functionality so other groups can use it.
• Great at devising efficient processes that increase velocity and quality
• Making priority decisions based on available resources and business requirements
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies
• Appreciation for best practices in relation to building secure products.

• Past experience with working for a fast paced Startup
• Wide experience with Technologies like k8s, different public cloud providers, data pipelines, microservices based architectures. Designing and maintaining various databases, e.g. postgresql, redis, hashicorp vault.
