Synopsis of the role
Planning and Execution manager supports the P&E Head in ensuring timely application delivery and maintenance across all the areas in technology while ensuring compliance to InfoSec, Regulatory requirements..
Accountability
The key accountability of this function is to consistently deliver projects on time and track key delivery and financial metrics, while ensuring InfoSec and Regulatory compliance.
The broad range of responsibilities this includes

Project Execution
-
Creating detailed project plans, having activities, and tracking inter-dependencies between activities.

Continuous tracking of the progress with the plans ensuring no slippages, and the activities necessary to mitigate any risks of slippages.

Accurate and current periodic project status reporting on the progress vis-a-vis the plans.

Following the processes for solution design, development, testing, implementation or programs in order to ensure that these are as per ECIS standards.

Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC)

Risk

Create and maintain Program RAID logs to ensure that all items in there are identified, tracked, and mitigated during the project execution.

Escalate unmitigated risks to senior management for their attention and prompt resolution.

Controls

Identify and implement checkpoints and milestones to be tracked for development projects as well as BAU.

Resource And Budget Management

Resource Tracking
-
Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of all project resources including ECIS FT, PEC FT, as well as third party vendors.

Ensure deliverables are done by every resource as per the defined scope and plans.

Budget Management
-
Track and manage the individual line items of the project budget to ensure that the project is delivered within the approved budget.

What you’ll do
-
Deliver the following areas contained within the function:
Portfolio Assurance
-
Implement project management processes and methodologies in the project being managed.

Coordination of project level activities which may require collaboration across multiple teams
Strategic and Operational Reporting
-
Measure and report on project level KPIs for both external and internal consumption
-
Bring in efficiencies in reporting standards using tooling and other opportunities.
Process Standardization
-
Consolidate and communicate best practices within the team
-
Innovate on tooling to support the projects efficiently and effectively.
Technology Controls
-
Facilitating Audit, Risk and Controls Assurance within the project being managed
-
Maintain the Business Process Architecture for core Technology Processes with support of accountable process owners.
Business Change Implementation
-
Ensures adherence to the agreed portfolio management approach and timetable, and deliver as per agreed timelines and accuracy

Prepare project governance and status reports
-
Ensure quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure
-
Manage project change control procedure so that changes to project scope, timescale, or budget are properly approved
What experience you need
Mandatory
-
Management of / working at a project manager level in large banks/investment banks within IT PMO
-
Experience with a bank with exposure to RBI submissions, audits, and assessments
-
Minimum 7 yrs to 10 yrs out of which at least 5 years in delivering enterprise business projects
-
Proven ability to work with others to achieve results and proactively address sources of conflict and emotion with focus on the best solution
Preferred
-
Knowledge of waterfall and Agile project management approaches
-
Evidence of maintaining effective relationships across business and IT in a matrix-structure / international organization
