Interested in a career that matters?
Join Novonesis’ M&A team and play a key role in shaping our inorganic growth strategy. The team is responsible for co-developing and executing transactions that support Novonesis’ long-term purpose and business ambitions.
You will be part of a highly collaborative team working closely with stakeholders across the organization. Our work is project-driven, fast-paced, and often unpredictable - requiring strong ownership, adaptability, and sound judgment. Together, we drive transactions from origination through closing and handover to integration.
The Role & Your Impact
In this role you will play a key role in driving our high-impact inorganic growth initiatives across acquisitions, remediation situations and selective partnerships. You will own the end-to-end deal lifecycle – from origination and valuation through diligence, negotiation, signing, and close – in close collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
This opportunity is a great fit if you enjoy combining boardroom-level strategy with hands-on transaction execution, and if you are energized by learning fast, spotting patterns early, and turning complex science- and technology-enabled opportunities into clear, actionable investment decisions. A genuine passion for biotechnology, innovation, and technology-enabled business models will help you thrive in this position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating Novonesis’ strategic priorities into clear investment theses and a proactive M&A pipeline, continuously monitoring market dynamics, competitive moves, and valuation trends.
- Driving end-to-end assessments of potential targets, including strategic fit, commercial attractiveness, competitive positioning, technology and capability relevance, and integration feasibility – and turning this into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Owning the valuation workstream, including operating and synergy models, valuation analyses, sensitivity and scenario testing, accretion/dilution analysis, and returns assessment, while maintaining high valuation discipline and transparent assumptions.
- Coordinating and leading multifunctional due diligence across commercial, financial, tax, legal, regulatory, compliance, technology, operations, HR, IT, and cybersecurity, and synthesizing findings into practical risk frameworks, mitigation plans, and negotiation priorities.
- Supporting TSA planning and execution where relevant, including defining scope and service schedules, transition timelines and service levels, coordination of functional owners, and management of separation and dependency risks to secure Day 1 continuity.
- Contributing to post-signing and pre-close planning, including Day 1 readiness, key talent retention, governance setup, integration sequencing, and value-capture tracking, working closely with integration leaders to preserve business continuity while realizing strategic and operational benefits.
- Continuously improving the Corporate Development operating model, helping strengthen templates, playbooks, governance materials, and reporting standards to improve quality, speed, and repeatability across transactions.

In 30-plus industries, its biosolutions help businesses meet their needs and the needs of our planet. Novozymes was formed in 2000 when Novo Nordisk split into three companies: Novo Nordisk A/S, Novozymes A/S and Novo A/S. Novozymes was the world leader in biological solutions with a commitment to Rethink Tomorrow. It served 130 markets with enzymatic, microbial and advanced protein solutions. The company’s solutions enabled higher agricultural yields, low-temperature washing, energy-efficient production, renewable fuel and many other benefits. In December 2022, Novozymes and Chr.
