The Sr Manager, Employee Experience is an experienced consultative advisor and leader who leads a team of Employee Experience Managers and Generalist providing a range of People Solutions services to employees and leaders for a region and/or large population of multiple local markets. Engages with business leaders to understand evolving needs of the local people strategy. Leads and provides direction to effectively drive a One Cox experience and an inclusive employee culture across the region ensuring alignment with the company goals and values. Services will span the full Employee Experience with direction on proactive labor and employee relations, performance management, business continuity, employee wellbeing, leaves, inclusion, diversity and equity, leadership training, employee onboarding, affirmative action plan, unemployment and adherence to all compliance, federal and state laws. Works collaboratively with enterprise leadership and employees at all levels and provides direction on the local HR strategy to align with the needs of the business and employees. Directs a team to design and implement initiatives that enhance the employee experience across the field enterprise and provides a positive, inclusive and engaging work environment. The Employe Experience team is the Champion of our Culture to enable a productive and inclusive culture, monitoring employee sentiment to foster a high level of employee engagement, enhance the employee experience, promote wellness and positively influence labor and employee relations. Partnership with Market VP, leadership at all levels, HRBPs, People Solutions CoEs and program/process owners. Reports directly to the AVP, Employee Experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Field translation of business strategy into local execution/community:
- Contributes to and supports the execution of Cox's business strategy within field markets and local communities through an engaged and skilled local workforce and effective execution of people programs at the local level.
- Develop and ensure team strong partnerships with local Market Vice Presidents to understand the local talent strategy needs and provide oversight to the team on the implementation of events and initiatives to promote employee morale and wellness.
- Lead and participation in the implementation of a strategic employee experience plan capturing unique needs for each market.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and HRBPs to raise awareness of HR needs critical for driving employee engagement, workforce planning, organizational culture, talent and the competitive needs of the business.
Employee and Labor Relations:
- Manage all Employee Relations activities for your Region/functions to include investigations, correction actions, performance management, employee escalations, accommodations/return to work, leadership coaching and training, ethics line cases and external complaints (EEOC, etc.), accommodations in a sensitive and confidential manner with fair resolution.
- Maintain a pulse of the employees in your region and provide advice and counsel to your team on labor relations issues to promote open and transparent communication between management and employees. Ensure the implementation of Labor relations training for leaders and spearhead additional training or actions to foster positive employee relations.
- Ensure alignment with company policies and maintain accountability and fair and consistent application of these policies. Ensure compliance with labor laws, state laws and organizational policies.
Inclusion, Diversity and Equity:
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to promote IDE tools, resources and approaches that create a welcoming and inclusive workplace across the region /enterprise. Ensure employee feedback is communicated to IDE Center of Excellence (COE) to contribute to initiatives that reflect of the voices of the region.
- Serve as the Co-Executive Sponsor for the Region IDE Council, providing guidance on initiatives that foster a culture of inclusion.
- Ensure the team completes quality Affirmative Action plans that comply with regulatory standards, are regularly updated, and reflect the company's commitment to IDE.
Employee Wellbeing/Business Continuity
- Lead and/or participate in the development and execution of the enterprise CCI Wellness strategy and execution of deliverables and tailored communication to drive overall employee wellbeing.
- Oversee the implementation of Wellness Expos and initiatives in the region to drive and support employee wellbeing addressing local market needs.
- Serve as the People Solutions Section Chief for your Region during Business Continuity Planning (BCP) events. Lead proactive plans to quickly and effectively address employee needs during BCP events for employee wellbeing.
Onboarding :
- Guide and oversee the onboarding process for new hires to contribute to a smooth and positive experience. Identify improvement areas and collaborate with the HR Center of Excellence to enhance the process continually.
Champions of Company Culture, Employee Experience and Engagement:
- Custodian of culture, engagement and productivity, influencing leaders and employees in developing and sustaining a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide direction and execution of regional/field engagement strategies to cultivate and enhance the employee experience. Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience throughout the enterprise employee lifecycle and collaborate with the HR Centers of Excellence to drive positive changes.
- Actively promotes a positive company culture and brand within the region, market, local community and customer base through employee volunteer events, local nonprofits, and support of community programs.
Enterprise projects/ Region Projects:
- Lead and/or participate in enterprise and regional initiatives such as Wellness, Labor Relations, Service Anniversaries, Market events, IDE to contribute to a positive and One Cox experience.
- Collaborate with boundary partners and leaders driving a one team approach to meet the needs of the business and employees.
Data and Metrics
- Leverage data and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of employee experience initiatives and KPIs related to employee experience, culture and engagement; Use data analytics to identify trends and inform decision making of future plans.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
- BA/BS degree in related discipline (i.e., Human Resources, Business, etc.) with 10 years of experience in a related field (i.e., Employee Relations, Employee Experience, HR Business Partnership, etc.); The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field OR 14 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong people leadership and project leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with teams at all levels of the organization and in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to influence key decision makers to support regional and enterprise field strategies and goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated consultative client service approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering on commitments
- Outstanding communication skills in written and verbal form; extensive public speaking, training, and/or leadership communication skills
- Advanced skills in analytical thinking, consulting, data gathering and reporting, internal controls and managing multiple priorities.
- At a mastery level acts with Integrity, builds positive relationships, collaborates with intent, develops trust, and influences positive outcomes. Handles confidential information appropriately.
- Travel required (10-20% of time)
Preferred
- MA/MS degree + 6 years of experience preferred in a related discipline (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Management, HRBP, etc.); OR Ph.D. + 3 years of experience in a related discipline (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.).
- Experience in telecommunications industry.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
USD 140,800.00 - 234,600.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $140,800.00 - $234,600.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
