Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Lead four domain managers and an approximately 80-person global engineering organization, establishing clear accountability, decision rights, and effective ways of working across regions and time zones.  

  • Own engineering quality, the technical roadmap, and non-functional standards across Adobe AEM, SAP Commerce, Oracle, data services, APIs, and integrations.  

  • Create a unified engineering operating model that enables teams to make sound decisions quickly and deliver with quality, predictability, and velocity.  

  • Drive engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, secure development, performance engineering, and disciplined technical-debt reduction.  

  • Partner with Architecture, Systems Engineering, Agile Delivery Operations, Software Quality Assurance, and Support & Observability to manage dependencies and end-to-end outcomes.  

  • Ensure engineering teams own the operational quality of what they build, including availability, performance, resilience, and corrective actions following production issues.  

  • Establish engineering and delivery measures that identify constraints and drive measurable improvements in throughput, quality, and platform health.  

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Networking, and Information Security on environments, platform services, security, and compliance requirements.  

  • Own engineering vendor relationships, improve partner performance, rationalize the vendor landscape, and strengthen critical internal capability and knowledge.  

  • Drive practical adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle to improve engineering velocity, quality, documentation, and innovation.  

  • Communicate technical trade-offs, risks, priorities, and investment needs clearly to technology and business leaders.  

What We Are Looking For:

Required Experience 

  • 10+ years of experience in digital engineering, e-commerce platforms, web applications, or customer-facing software products.  

  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including experience managing managers or leading multiple engineering teams.  

  • Experience leading a globally distributed organization with a mix of employees, contractors, matrixed contributors, and external delivery partners.  

  • Demonstrated engineering depth in at least one relevant domain: digital experience platforms, commerce, enterprise backend systems, data, APIs, or integration.  

  • Experience owning engineering quality, technical roadmaps, non-functional requirements, and production outcomes for customer-facing platforms.  

  • A record of leading meaningful organizational or operating-model change while maintaining delivery continuity.  

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments with product owners, delivery leaders, architects, and quality engineering teams.  

  • Working knowledge of cloud services, microservices, API-led integration, CI/CD, automated testing, secure software development, and observability.  

  • Experience managing external partners, vendor performance, workforce capacity, and technical delivery risk.  

  • Understanding of security and data-protection practices, including PCI considerations for payment processing.  

  • Strong executive communication, judgment, and the ability to translate technical trade-offs into business impact.  

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading an engineering organization of comparable scale and complexity.  

  • Depth across two or more platform areas: digital experience, commerce, enterprise backend, data, APIs, and integrations.  

  • Experience with Adobe AEM, SAP Commerce, Oracle, or comparable enterprise platforms.  

  • B2B commerce or distribution experience, including complex pricing, quoting, account structures, or customer onboarding.  

  • Experience modernizing a digital footprint while maintaining high availability and active delivery commitments.  

  • A record of establishing common architecture and engineering standards across previously separate technology domains.  

  • Demonstrated improvement in delivery predictability, automated testing, platform performance, change quality, or recovery time.  

  • Experience introducing AI-assisted software development, testing, documentation, or operations with appropriate governance.  

  • Experience consolidating vendors, transitioning services, and transferring critical knowledge to internal teams.  

  • Experience building internal engineering capability in global delivery centers.  

  • Experience with product-oriented, stream-aligned, or customer-journey-aligned engineering teams.  

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.  

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday required office days for Panorama Office site; Monday, Friday-work from home.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$143,100.00 - $215,380.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
