Success in this role requires strong technical analytics expertise combined with exceptional executive communication and the ability to influence product direction through insight, storytelling, and informed judgment.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven strategy roles
• Demonstrated experience supporting customer-facing digital products, platforms, or technology-enabled experiences.
• Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor with functional leadership responsibility
• Proficiency with analytics and data tools (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, Adobe Analytics, BI platforms such as Tableau)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience influencing senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify business and product questions and shape analytical agendas
• Experience partnering closely with engineering or platform teams on data-informed strategy
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience applying statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, segmentation, regression, trend analysis) to business problem solving
• Hands-on experience using Python and/or R to support analysis and insight generation
• Experience supporting experimentation, causal analysis, or test-and-learn measurement
• Familiarity with digital data instrumentation, data quality, and platform measurement considerations
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap Influence
• Use analytics to inform digital product strategy and roadmap prioritization, including where to invest, what to optimize, and what to deprioritize
• Act as a trusted advisor to Digital Product and Technology leaders, helping frame strategic questions and evaluate options using data
• Provide insight into customer behavior, platform performance, and experience outcomes to support product planning and sequencing decisions
• Translate analytical findings into strategic implications, not just metrics or observations, to drive business decisions
Analytics Leadership & Management
• Serve as the functional analytics lead supporting digital products, platforms, and technology initiatives
• Define KPIs, success metrics, and analytical frameworks aligned to product goals, platform health, and experience outcomes
• Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities that warrant strategic or roadmap consideration
Analysis & Insight Delivery
• Own and optimize performance of direct digital channels (web and app), evaluating results in the context of demand patterns, traveler intent, market conditions, and portfolio dynamics to drive traffic quality, conversion and revenue.
• Lead optimization of digital experience across the customer journey, improving booking conversion, engagement, merchandising effectiveness, and other key commercial outcomes.
• Assess how digital engagement shapes acquisition, loyalty progression, and retention; translate insights into strategies that increase long-term customer value and overall business contribution.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses across web, mobile, and account-based experiences, including funnels, journeys, lifecycle, and platform performance
• Partner with Product, Technology, and Engineering teams to assess feature launches, platform enhancements, and technical changes
• Support experimentation and test-and-learn efforts, including A/B testing and incremental impact analysis where applicable
• Ensure analytical rigor, consistency of metrics, and clarity of assumptions across strategic initiatives
Storytelling & Executive Communication
• Synthesize complex analyses into clear, strategic narratives tailored for product, technology, and senior leadership audiences
• Develop executive-ready materials that connect insights to decisions, tradeoffs, and recommended actions
• Use storytelling to drive alignment and momentum, not just awareness
Cross Functional Data & Analytics Partnership
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams to ensure reliable data pipelines, shared definitions, and scalable insights
• Influence without authority by building credibility and strong working relationships across product and engineering organizations
• Contribute to analytics best practices, documentation, and improved data literacy across the enterprise
