Position Description
We are seeking experienced Senior manager in Data team based in Hong Kong. As part of data team. you will work very closely with Application project managers and business users, vendors and other department application and support teams to manage the firm's data platform. We are looking to individual with confident and assertive personality with deep understanding of data platforms.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Play Critical role in bridging gap between Business needs and Data principles.
Work closely with Various departments to ensure successful implementation and delivery of IT projects for CRM, Finance, Risk and AI development
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, map out processes, and work with the technical team for delivery
Ensure solid alignment with key stakeholders, including business owners/users, project team, and vendors
Conduct market research and feasibility studies
Design and implement IT solutions to meet business needs
Develop detailed project plans and timelines
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management
Set up and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Support enhancement projects and maintenance activities
Prepare documentation and training materials for end-users
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT application
Help to push and transform team into true DevOps model
Mentor and manage team members in the team.
Working as a part of Global team (HK, Pune, Shenzhen)
Requirements
Computer Science or related degree, Masters degree is a plus
Around 15 years of experience, preferably in Finance background.
Experience of working Java, Bigdata systems.
Experience of Designing, engineering for Complex applications.
Having excellent knowledge on development life cycle and able to work with fast faced delivery cycles.
Proven experience in enterprise level system design especially with Data systems and work flow systems.
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese
Able to clearly explain complex problems with stakeholders
Excellent analytical skills: Able to understand complex problems and analyse it by breaking down into smaller problems.
Able to solve complex problem by working as group and mentor junior developers.
Hands-on familiarity with popular Java Frameworks such as Spring
Experience or knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka/Tibco EMS is a plus
Understanding Hadoop or Big-data systems is a plus
Understanding on DevOps and CI/CD is a plus
Knowing Data principles and previous work experience in Data team is a plus
