About the Energy & Renewables (E&R) Division and the role
Energy & Renewables Division
The E&R division spearheads Singapore’s industry development across the energy value chain, including oil & gas, renewables and the energy & chemicals sectors. The team works with leading global energy companies to develop and implement strategies to transform existing businesses and pursue new business opportunities in areas such as sustainable products, decarbonisation and new energies, in Singapore for the region and/or globally, and to improve the supply chain resilience for the Energy sector.
The division is also responsible for coordinating EDB’s emergency preparedness response to various emergency situations such as Energy Supply Crisis, Cybersecurity Incidents and/or future pandemics.

[What you will be working on]

You will work closely with colleagues in EDB (e.g. Industry Groups, Industry Manpower Division, Information Technology Division), key industry partners and officers from other government agencies. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding the energy industry, its supply chain, its Information Technology (IT) & Operational Technology (OT) Systems and potential disruptions due to cybersecurity incidents.

  • Familiar with Cybersecurity Act and Cybersecurity Code of Practice

  • Administer and enforce Cybersecurity policies and requirements to improve cybersecurity resilience of energy sector.

  • Liaising with other government agencies and key industry partners in improving the cybersecurity resilience of energy sector.

  • Jointly develop and refine Cybersecurity Incident Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and IT system/platform.

To meet the challenges of the role, you will have to:

  • Have substantial knowledge on the requirements of Cybersecurity Act and Cybersecurity Code of Practice and working experience in managing cybersecurity incidents.

  • Knowledge of E&C sector is preferred.

  • Understand the operations of inter-agency taskforces, establishing connections with key contacts across designated companies and agencies for cybersecurity related issues.

  • Demonstrate adaptability to address to diverse work requirements, often with short timeframes, and effectively communicate instructions or changes to officers and/or counterparts in agencies and companies.

  • Be able to be rostered to work during weekends during emergencies.

  • At least 5-8 years of relevant industry experience in cybersecurity resilience and incident management.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Strong organisational and data management skills

  • Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player

  • Singaporean

Skills Required
