We’re looking for a Release Manager/Infrastructure Engineer to:
- Globally run the zOS, AIX and AS400 operating system platform release and test management
- Act as central point to plan platform software change requests, creating related roadmaps and timelines
- Provide & maintain packaging environment and software inventory for other teams
- Execute the test planning and coordination with Engineering teams (test plans, test orders, sign off conference calls, test reports)
- Work within change management methodology and procedures to deliver a final stable product to operations
- Coordinate deployment of fixes and Single Distributions for platform products
- Ensure compliance and audibility for software components according to internal SDLC/QAP/MER/ICC processes
- Provide continual improvement to platform release and test management processes
- ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
- build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
- learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
Your team
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Mainframe as a Service team in [Location] focusing to continuously improve our processes to gain higher efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- IT basic knowledge, a minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT services
- Basic system knowhow (IBM zOS mainframe, AIX or AS400) appreciated, but no must
- ITIL knowledge (specifically Release-, Test- and Change-Management) appreciated, no must
- Change management knowledge
- Test Management knowledge
- Personal skills: teamwork, initiative, efficiency, friendliness, ability to work under pressure, carefulness precision
- Customer focus: secure, mature and pleasant appearance, good manners, networking skills (social)
- Strong communication skills in English
Shift Timing- 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
