An individual in the Architecture job family is a strategic resource for UnitedHealth Group. This individual could be involved across many aspects of architecture, design, build, engineering and implementation of technical solutions and capabilities providing technical leadership. Responsible for communicating overall architecture vision, technical strategies, and trade-offs across various levels in the organization to gain buy-in. Will provide recommendations and technical guidance to improve performance, reliability, and reusability within the constraints of budget, resource and business dependencies. In base and mid-level roles, engages across teams in a capacity that ranges from assisting on in-flight initiatives, up to technical briefings and demonstrations of new technologies across the organization. In senior level roles, leads business solutions, capabilities, and is a solid influencer that engages with client executives and stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, engineering, and production operations of secure Azure-based OnePaaS platform services
- Build secure cloud landing zones, identity, networking, governance, and enterprise platform foundations
- Drive DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and SRE
- Implement AI-assisted DevOps and SecOps capabilities including anomaly detection, drift analysis, auto-remediation, and predictive operational insights
- Establish zero-trust security architecture, automated guardrails, policy enforcement, and compliance controls
- Deliver platform observability, monitoring, incident management, reliability engineering, and cost optimization
- Enable enterprise data and application platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and API integrations
- Develop reusable platform services, reference architectures, and self-service capabilities
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams using Agile methodologies while driving platform adoption and operational excellence
- Champion responsible AI practices, governance, and secure AI enablement across the platform
- AI Builder:
- Designs and operationalizes AI-enabled platform capabilities by integrating AI into cloud platform engineering, DevSecOps, and SecOps workflows. Builds secure, scalable automation using AI for anomaly detection, predictive operations, auto-remediation, governance, and engineering productivity while ensuring responsible AI adoption across enterprise cloud platforms
