Role Overview
The Machine Learning Engineer develops, deploys, and maintains scalable AI/ML solutions that meet production standards. They turn data science prototypes into reliable, production-ready services, automate MLOps workflows, and build tools and infrastructure for model training and inference. This role requires strong software engineering, DevOps, and cloud skills, as well as experience with NLP, search technologies, vector, and graph databases, and modern MLOps platforms.
Responsibilities:
Finalizing requirements by collaborating with other technical personnel or team members.
Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of AI/ML-driven software and systems.
Completing complex bug fixes across ML pipelines, data workflows, and production systems
Translating complex product requirements into software designs including LLM based and agent-driven architectures
Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
Resolving complex technical issues is necessary.
Develop and implement LLM-based and Generative AI applications (e.g., RAG systems).
Develop and integrate agent skills (tool usage, planning, reasoning, memory), ensuring reliability and robustness in production.
Integrate models and AI agents with existing systems and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Document development processes, code, and APIs.
Monitor, evaluate, and improve model and agent performance
Requirements:
Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
At least 5-7 years’ experience in Software / Machine Learning Engineering
Be willing to keep abreast of new technological developments.
Experience working with complex data models.
Possess good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
Proven experience building and deploying LLM / Generative AI solutions in production environments
Strong knowledge of API integration and microservices-based architectures.
Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
Experience working with SQL, data modelling, ML algorithms, and evaluation techniques.
Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure; Familiar with CI/CD
Strong coding skills in Python or another programming language (Go, Rust, etc.).
Experience in the following areas will be highly advantageous:
NLP (text preprocessing, topic modeling, classification, sentiment analysis)
Experience with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, ADK, LlamaIndex), RAG, vector databases, and embeddings
CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Spark / Databricks
