Mission:
The role of the Senior Logistics Coordinator is to provide support to Logistics and Purchasing Coordinators in their day -to-day operations with a focus on driving accountability and delivery of customer focused results leading to improved customer experience.
As the Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will manage a team of Logistics Coordinators as they maintain and transact with freight forwarders, third party logistics providers (3PL’s) and transport companies in the import / export, warehousing and distribution of Azelis’s products. You and your team are the link between our Supply Chain & Operations to the Customer Experience team and therefore have a direct impact on Customer Experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the team of Logistics Coordinators including mentoring, training, developing and performance management
Conduct monthly 1:1 performance reviews with team members to provide guidance, education and learning opportunities that ensure the personal development of team members
Oversight of incoming product arrival via freight forwarder(s), domestic transport delivery partners and the subsequent coordination with 3PL’s for goods to be delivered, inspected and system receipted in alignment with agreed KPIs
Oversight of outbound customer order processing, ensuring that customer requested delivery dates and / or special delivery requirements are strictly adhered to and Customer Experience Officers (CEO’s) are informed of “At Risk” deliveries
Transacting in D365 directly where EDI integration is not available with a partner
Monitoring in D365 EDI transaction integrity between Azelis and its partners
Maintaining and reporting on the proactive communication with CEO’s to deliver total transparency to customer delivery statuses, before the customer needs to contact Azelis
Be the “Customer Voice” externally, holding your logistics partners accountable for service delivery
Periodic reporting as required based on specific customers’ needs
Administrative tasks to support financial reporting across Landed Cost and Distribution Costs (LC/DC)
Invoice reconciliation and validation for service providers
Qualification & Skills
Passionate about customer service
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience across logistics, warehousing & distribution or freight forwarding in a high transaction environment with exposure to DG and / or regulated product environments preferred
Minimum 1 – 3 years in a team leadership / supervisory role
Logical, pragmatic and detail oriented operating style
Experience with Microsoft D365 highly desirable
Intermediate skills across Microsoft applications such as XL, Word, Outlook, TEAMS
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Adaptable, comfortable in a changing environment and responsibilities based upon organizational needs
Formal qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transport Management highly regarded
Skills Required
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing and distribution, or freight forwarding in a high-transaction environment
- 1–3 years of experience in team leadership or supervision
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Fluent English proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Logical, pragmatic, and detail-oriented working style
- Adaptability in changing environments and responsibilities
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with dangerous goods or regulated product environments
