If you're interested in being a part of an extraordinary mission, working with our customer who runs the DoD’s largest supercomputing centers and operating some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world, we could use your experience and enthusiasm! You will be providing your LINUX Systems Administration expertise to ensure DoD scientists have reliable access to these critical resources. You will be directly supporting the warfighter.
All of your work will be performed on customer site at Stennis Space Center and an Interim Secret Clearance is required to begin work on the program.
So, what will you be doing in this role?
- Provide expert-level administration of RedHat Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform systems enhancement, configuration, maintenance, installation, and software upgrades.
- Lead a team of high-performing Linux administrators, providing guidance, technical expertise, and project leadership.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
- Maintain and manage the Enterprise Satellite server, ensuring it meets the organization's software deployment and updates needs.
- Automate routine and complex tasks using Ansible, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
- Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels, adhering to established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Identify and address performance issues and optimize the production environment for mission-critical systems.
- Perform acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems.
- Responsible for software installation, configuration, and ensuring adherence to configuration guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements.

- Must hold an active in Secret clearance or be able to obtain Interim Secret eligibility prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years related experience
- Must hold current DOD 8570 IAT II certification – Security + and one of the following Linux certifications: Linux + or RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) prior to start.
