As Senior IT Business Analyst you will support one or more cross-functional squads comprised of a Squad Lead, Developers, a System Analyst, and Quality Assurance Engineers committed to ensuring the successful design and delivery of complex application solutions centered on the strategic roadmap for one or more key technology capabilities within MMC while being primarily responsible for directing the cross-functional elicitation and elaboration of requirements across squads in an Agile Team setting.

Direct cross functional analysis on critical initiatives requiring significant strategic change across multiple platforms and products;
Ensure that teams are consistently converting the business requirements to solutions, consisting of epics and features, considering technical constraints and existing technical architecture/functionality;
Work with the Product Owner to communicate the product vision, roadmap, value, and MVP to the agile teams to enable empathy and a shared understanding thereby helping the team to formulate an appropriate solution;
Collaborate with Pod Leadership, Product Owner, and stakeholders to create Persona's, Story Maps, and a Release Plan;
Work in partnership with the Product Owner and agile teams in the creation and maintenance of Product Backlog Items ensuring that Epics and User Stories are continuously prioritized and aligned to the Product Roadmap and MVP;
Facilitate refinement sessions with the Agile Teams and Business to sufficiently detail out User Stories, to include dependencies;
Conduct the Sprint Review ceremonies by working with the agile teams, Product Owner, Business and Customer to review, assess and adapt the latest product increment by incorporating customer insights and feedback into the Product Backlog;
Actively work with Pod Leadership by running assessments processes for the POD and provide constructive feedback towards continuously improving the Systems Analyst function, standards and processes in Global Technology;
Demonstrate an awareness of MMC and Mercer Technical, Security and Process Standards and work with the team to incorporate them in product delivery through the software development life cycle;
As part of your daily activities, you will:
collaborate with the Product Owner and teams to manage tactical aspects of iteration planning such as the squads’ backlog, backlog grooming, user story refinement, user story estimation, facilitating Sprint Reviews, and participating in Agile Ceremonies.
coordinate activities with up to four System Analysts across squads to ensure just-in-time development of the story.
assist the Product Owner in the development of personas, customer journey maps, story maps and release planning to foster insights and understanding of vision for the team.
What you need to have:
3-4 years experience as an IT Systems Analyst or IT Business Analyst in an agile team using Agile Workflow tools, ideally broking or insurance domain;
Bachelor’s degree in technology, software engineering, business or other related field;
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written in English (C1) & Romanian (C2);
Agile mindset with an in-depth understanding of Agile Principles;
Demonstrated requirements gathering skills, capturing customer needs and business drivers into product backlog items;Proven quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
Highly motivated and inquisitive rapid learner comfortable working as part of a multicultural team;
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within the organization;
Skilled in process improvement and integration opportunities with other process automation tools;
Self-motivated with a passion for research and self-training;
Ability to provide timely responses and solutions to remove impediments for squads;
Ability to find resolutions regarding own work methods with minimal direction;
