Introduction
We are seeking a Senior level Attorney with technology transactions expertise in the fabless semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will possess, in addition to strong legal acumen, a technical understanding of integrated circuits, including their function and design, and demonstrate proficiency with the specialized terminology used in the semiconductor field.
Key Responsibilities:
Support licensing aspects of contract functions by reviewing and revising agreement drafts.
Negotiate legal terms related to technology licensing, including technology description and usage, warranty, indemnity, and support provisions.
Draft and revise technology agreements with technical insight, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Handle agreements related to process technology, custom silicon, EDA tools, and design IP (such as processor cores), and software.
Required Qualifications:
LLB/LLM from an accredited institution
BTech/BE in Computer science, IT , Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation & Control from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated technical knowledge of integrated circuits and their applications.
At least 18 years of experience in fabless semiconductor sector (design IP house, fabless company, or similar).
In-depth understanding of semiconductor industry terminology- and the semiconductor ecosystem.
Meaningful experience in drafting and negotiating technology in-license, out-license, EDA tools licenses and development agreements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technically proficient with typical application suites.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with foundry services businesses and how foundries engage with fabless companies.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and business stakeholders.
