Tax AccountantIntroduction to the TeamOur Corporate Functions teams support Expedia Group across areas including Finance, Legal, People, Inclusion and Diversity, Employee Communications, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
As part of the Tax team, you’ll help support compliant and efficient tax operations across Expedia Group. You’ll collaborate with Finance, the global tax provision team, external advisors, and business partners on tax reporting, audits, legislative changes, transfer pricing, and strategic business initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Calculate, review, and prepare tax reports for direct and withholding taxes, including Corporate Income Tax and Social Contribution.
- Coordinate outsourced tax compliance activities and monitor timely, accurate deliverables.
- Partner with Finance on matters affecting foreign corporate income tax, including financial statement and disclosure reviews.
- Prepare foreign year-end tax provisions with the global provision team.
- Analyze book-to-tax differences and complete return-to-provision analyses.
- Assist with tax inquiries, audits, and information requests.
- Support transfer pricing calculations and documentation.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on Expedia Group’s business.
- Support tax aspects of business projects, process improvements, and other tax research initiatives.
Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least five years of tax consulting or compliance experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent professional experience.
- English proficiency.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with Oracle or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Collaborative approach with proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized, analytical, and effective at solving problems.
Preferred
- Experience with Tableau and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Knowledge of Latin American tax matters.
