The Opportunity That Awaits You:
The Senior Instructional Designer in the field of Medical Device/Robotic Surgery plays a crucial role in developing, designing, and delivering high-quality educational materials and training programs. This position is responsible for creating instructional content that equips healthcare professionals and the PROCEPT sales force with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate and maintain the Aquabeam robotic surgical system.
What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, manuals, guides, and multimedia presentations, tailored to the specific needs of medical device and robotic surgery users.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.
- Design comprehensive training programs and curricula for different user levels, such as surgeons, nurses, and technicians.
- Ensure that the training curriculum aligns with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, simulations, and interactive exercises to enhance learning experiences.
- Utilize e-learning authoring tools and software to create engaging and interactive training materials.
- Develop assessment methods, quizzes, and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Continuously analyze feedback and assessment results to make improvements.
- Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines for medical device and robotic surgery training.
- Ensure all training materials and programs are compliant with relevant standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, clinical support, and marketing, to align training materials with product updates and launches.
- Work closely with trainers and educators to deliver effective training sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of training materials, revisions, and version control.
- Generate reports on training program effectiveness and participant performance.
- Maintain and support current and future LMS platforms.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical device technology and robotic surgery procedures to ensure the content's accuracy and relevance.

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical device operation and robotic surgery systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA) related to medical devices is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and e-learning best practices.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), multiple LMS platforms, and multimedia software.
- Occasional 25% travel
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The anticipated base salary for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 per year, plus bonus. Please note that the salary range may vary based on the candidate's location and experience. This role also requires that you are based and authorized to work in the US.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
What We Do
PROCEPT BioRobotics is a commercial-stage surgical robotics company focused on advancing patient care by developing transformative solutions in urology. We develop, manufacture and sell the AQUABEAM Robotic System, an advanced, image-guided, surgical robotic system for use in minimally-invasive urologic surgery with an initial focus on treating benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH. Our proprietary AQUABEAM Robotic System delivers Aquablation therapy, which combines real-time, multidimensional imaging, personalized treatment planning, automated robotics and heat-free waterjet ablation for targeted and rapid removal of prostate tissue. Aquablation therapy delivers effective, safe and durable outcomes for males suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms, or LUTS, due to BPH that are independent of prostate size and shape or surgeon experience.
