Alchemy is seeking a part-time junior instructional designer to join our design services team. The Jr. ID will utilize instructional design theory, practice, and processes to analyze, design, develop, and implement instructional materials for our higher education clients. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review courses and apply design standards to improve the overall design of each course.
  • Review courses using quality rubrics, like Quality Matters.
  • Work in learning management systems (Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard) to build and revise course content. 
  • Write framing language for activities and assessments.
  • Copyedit courses in learning management systems using Grammarly.

Acquired and Applied Knowledge of:

  • Contemporary adult learning theories
  • Instructional systems design and theory
  • Learning management systems
  • Instructional media, including video and enhanced interactive media

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as an instructional designer
  • Availability of up to 30 hours per week
