Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Imagery Scientist (Spectral) to join our team in Springfield, VA.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;
Collect process data and perform data analysis.
Integrate centralized protect and maintain data in DBMS.
Clean massage and organized data.
Perform ad hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner using storytelling/visualization.
Create/deploy/maintain cloud applications to support migration of data and production processes
Create/deploy/maintain tools to extract features data and meta-data from a variety of sources, including Raster to vector-to-vector text to vector and text database.
Write/maintain Python scripts in Arc GIS to improve efficiency of the production process.
Support Business Processing Re-engineering.
Perform Data Conversion/migration
Perform Business Analytics.
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
BS in image science, remote sensing, earth science, etc. 3+ years image processing & scientific analysis of spectral data (including phenomenology, correction, sensor design principles, ENVI and/or ERDAS Imagine, civil & commercial sources).
IDL/Java/MATLAB/Python/R.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree.
Proficiency developing & delivering course materials (live & recorded).
Tool/software development. Chemistry, atmospheric science, GIS (ArcGIS).
Amazon C2S, PKIs.
Manmade lights in optics/remote sensing contexts.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
