Leidos is seeking a Senior IBM Maximo Developer with deep experience in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9 and Field Service Management (FSM) / Maximo Mobile to support our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) electric utility operations.
This role will lead architecture, configuration, and optimization of MAS 9 Manage and Mobile solutions that enable safe, reliable, and efficient field execution across substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks. The ideal candidate understands utility grid operations and can design scalable mobile-first solutions that support real-time field data capture, outage response, inspections, and compliance workflows.

Responsibilities:
- MAS 9 Architecture & Platform Leadership
- Lead solution design and governance for MAS 9 (Manage) in a T&D environment
- Support containerized deployments in OpenShift and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Oversee environment strategy (DEV/TEST/PROD), CI/CD practices, and release management
- Ensure security hardening, RBAC configuration, and audit readiness
- Drive performance tuning and system optimization within MAS 9
- FSM / Maximo Mobile Leadership
- Design and configure Maximo Mobile / FSM solutions for:
- Substation and line maintenance
- Pole inspections and vegetation management
- Switching orders and safety tagging
- Storm response and emergency restoration
- Enable offline-first mobile configurations with optimized synchronization strategies
- Configure inspection forms, job plans, dynamic checklists, and digital procedures
- Improve field usability, device performance, and crew adoption
- Partner with field operations and safety teams to refine mobile workflows
- Advanced Maximo Development
- Develop complex automation scripts (Jython/JavaScript)
- Configure advanced workflows, escalations, and conditional UI logic
- Architect scalable asset hierarchies aligned with T&D network models
- Implement meter-based maintenance, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance
- Develop complex BIRT reports and operational dashboards
- Enterprise Integration & Data Strategy
- Architect and support integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
- Lead integrations between MAS 9 and:
- Outage Management Systems (OMS)
- GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI)
- SCADA systems
- ERP/Financial systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Design API and event-driven integration patterns
- Lead asset data migration, cleansing, and governance initiatives
- Utility & Compliance Enablement
- Support T&D business processes including:
- Capital project tracking and asset commissioning
- NERC compliance documentation and audit reporting
- Reliability-centered maintenance programs
- Improve data quality and traceability across asset lifecycle stages
Required Education and Experience:
- 8+ years of IBM Maximo development experience
- 3+ years supporting electric utility Transmission & Distribution operations
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with MAS 9 (installation, configuration, upgrade, or support)
- Experience deploying MAS 9 on OpenShift
- Strong experience designing and deploying Maximo Mobile / FSM solutions
- Deep expertise in:
- Application Designer
- Automation Scripts
- Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
- Workflows and Escalations
- Strong SQL and Java skills
- Experience leading complex enterprise integrations
- Experience operating in regulated, audit-driven environments
