Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in enterprise backup, cloud data protection, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam, and cloud-native backup solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments. This role will drive backup modernization, cyber resilience, cloud adoption, and automation initiatives using Terraform, GitHub, and scripting technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions across on-premises, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud environments.
- Administer and optimize backup platforms including NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, and Veeam.
- Implement and support Azure Backup, AWS Backup, GCP Backup & DR, and other cloud-native data protection services.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate operational tasks, reporting, monitoring, and platform management using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
- Lead backup modernization, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, and ransomware protection initiatives.
- Design and support immutable storage, cyber vaults, air-gapped recovery, and isolated recovery environments (IRE).
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, application, and architecture teams to ensure backup compliance and recoverability.
- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Backup Administration, or Data Protection.
- Strong hands-on expertise with NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam, or other enterprise backup platforms.
- Experience implementing and managing backup solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Knowledge of cloud-native backup services and hybrid-cloud data protection architectures.
- Strong experience with Terraform, GitHub, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting technologies.
- Experience with cyber resilience, ransomware recovery, immutable backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift data protection and enterprise database backup technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications in NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam, Azure, AWS, GCP, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale backup transformation and cloud migration initiatives.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline
- 9+ years of infrastructure engineering, operations, or platform administration experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Cohesity NetBackup
- Experience with infrastructure automation, Terraform, scripting, and enterprise monitoring solutions
- Experience with multiple enterprise backup and recovery platforms
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-native and hybrid-cloud data protection solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
- Experience protecting enterprise applications and databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SAP HANA, and MongoDB
- Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational reporting solutions
- Experience supporting highly regulated environments involving security, compliance, governance, and audit readiness
- Solid hands-on experience administering and supporting Cohesity NetBackup in large enterprise environments
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies
- Solid expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies and modern automation practices
- Understanding of cyber resilience technologies including immutable storage, ransomware recovery, cyber vaults, isolated recovery environments, and air-gapped recovery architectures
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, including container and persistent-volume data protection strategies
- Working knowledge of enterprise storage, networking, virtualization, and infrastructure platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and drive operational excellence in complex enterprise environments
- Backup, cloud, security, or infrastructure certifications
