The Senior Human Resources Generalist delivers core HR services across Juniper's multi-state operating footprint, serving as a subject matter resource for HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, and multi-state compliance. This role independently manages employee data and transactions within the HRIS, leads onboarding programs, supports the HR & Benefits Partner with benefits-related needs, and ensures HR processes remain aligned with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. The Senior Human Resources Generalist partners with Regional HR Managers and the broader HR team to drive accurate recordkeeping, audit readiness, and consistent employee experience across all locations.

  • Follow, promote, and enforce safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained.
  • Lead new hire orientation programs, ensuring a consistent and compliant onboarding experience across all locations.
  • Support the HR & Benefits Partner with benefits-related inquiries and issue resolution across all operating states.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment transactions and data changes in the HRIS, including open enrollment, qualifying life events, and terminations, in coordination with the HR & Benefits Partner.
  • Administer leave of absence programs, independently applying federal and state-specific leave laws and coordinating benefits continuation with the HR & Benefits Partner.
  • Support the coordination and promotion of company wellness initiatives across assigned regions, partnering with the HR & Benefits Partner to communicate available resources and assist with the planning and execution of wellness events and challenges.
  • Track employee wellness program participation and report on engagement across locations, sharing findings with the HR & Benefits Partner to support program evaluation and improvement.
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of employee data in the HRIS, reviewing and processing all status, compensation, title, and department changes across multiple states and proactively identifying discrepancies before they create downstream issues.
  • Ensure personnel records are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready in accordance with applicable state retention requirements across all operating locations.
  • Manage compliance tracking for policy acknowledgments, required training, and regulatory deadlines across all operating states, ensuring timely completion and proactively escalating gaps to HR leadership.
  • Monitor, maintain, and update required federal and state labor law postings across all operating locations, tracking regulatory changes, and proactively distributing updated materials.
  • Independently manage employee relations inquiries across the assigned region, resolving low-to-moderate complexity matters and providing policy and procedural guidance to employees and managers; escalate high-complexity or high-risk situations to the appropriate Regional HR Manager.
  • Partner with managers on performance management, corrective action, and coaching conversations, advising on HR policy application and proactively identifying and mitigating employment-related risks before matters escalate.
  • Lead multi-state compliance tracking across wage and hour, paid leave, and employment law requirements; proactively monitor regulatory changes and update HR processes to maintain alignment with applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Lead preparation for EEO-1 and benefits audits across entities, coordinating data collection, resolving discrepancies, and serving as HR’s primary point of contact during audit review.
  • Conduct intake and initial investigation of low-to-moderate complexity employee relations matters; document findings, assess risk, and partner with the Regional HR Manager on appropriate resolution, next steps, and required recordkeeping.
  • Partner with Regional HR Managers on HR reporting, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives to drive deliverables to completion.
  • Manage verification of employment requests across all operating states, ensuring accurate and legally compliant responses.
  • Manage unemployment claims administration across all operating states, preparing well-documented responses and identifying claim trends for reporting to HR leadership.

Qualifications:


  • Associates degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in a human resources support, coordinator, or generalist role required.
  • Experience supporting benefits administration, managing onboarding, and administering employee data within an HRIS or payroll system required.
  • Ability to work onsite or travel if ever needed.
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment, wage and hour, and leave laws preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information across teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues independently.
  • Proficient in computer and technology skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS or payroll platforms, and mobile devices.
  • HR Certification preferred (PHR).
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom is a plus.
