Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior HRIS / Workday Reporting Analyst to serve as a key member of our HR Technology team. This role combines deep technical expertise in Workday reporting with strong leadership in data governance, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
This individual will own the full lifecycle of HRIS and reporting initiatives—from discovery and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. As a subject matter expert in Workday reporting, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Hubs, this role will drive innovation, enhance the user experience, and ensure delivery of accurate, actionable people data across the organization.
The role will act as a trusted advisor to HR, IT, Finance, and Analytics teams, leading reporting strategy establishing governance standards, and expanding Workday’s reporting capabilities to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end HRIS and reporting initiatives, including discovery, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Workday reporting, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Hubs.
Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders on reporting capabilities, data structures, and best practices.
Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and Analytics teams to deliver scalable, high-impact reporting solutions.
Reporting Development & Analytics
Lead discovery discussions with stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements, trends, and business needs.
Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, BIRT, etc.) using Report Writer and Report Designer.
Build interactive dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Hubs that deliver actionable insights to leaders, managers, and employees.
Analyze Workday data sources, relationships, and system capabilities to optimize reporting solutions.
Lead governance of people data and reporting, including establishing standards, naming conventions, and documentation.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance across all HRIS systems and reporting outputs.
Develop and maintain data integrity protocols, conduct audits, and resolve data issues proactively.
Maintain a centralized reporting catalog and documentation to support transparency and reuse.
Initiate and lead HRIS projects of medium to large scope, developing project plans and managing execution.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reporting efficiency, and system functionality.
Stay current with Workday releases, features, and industry best practices to continuously enhance capabilities.
Support system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and testing cycles, including coordination of user acceptance testing.
User Support & Enablement
Provide hands-on functional, technical, and reporting support to HR and business users.
Deliver training and enablement for Workday reporting tools, dashboards, and enhancements.
Serve as escalation point for reporting-related issues.
Partner with stakeholders to drive adoption of new tools, features, and reporting solutions.

Skills Required
- BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, or Information Technology; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources working with a HRIS
- Detailed understanding of integration strategy
- Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including advanced data functions in Excel
