The Hardware Architect Engineer (HWA) identifies and evaluates the hardware architectural elements from the hardware requirements and creates the hardware architectural design specification, also oversees the hardware integration and test against the architecture.
Key Accountabilities
- is the key internal contact for technical HW related issues. Technical requests to the Hardware(HW) and Mechanical(MEC) team from SYS/SW/PROM/MFG/… should first be addressed to the HWA.
- is the key customer contact for technical HW related issues.
- analyzes and structures HW requirements, develops the HW architecture and refines hardware requirements. baselines and communicates HW and MEC requirements
- sets the priorities of the HW development team, collaborating with the HWDE and the Mechanical Engineer.
- Develop Hardware and Software Interface Specification. Work with SW/SYS to define the configuration of MCU and other key ICs.
- ensures bidirectional traceability and consistency of HW architecture with requirements and SYS architecture.
- provides manufacturing test support.
- Provide technical support to hardware environmental and electromagnetic compatibility validation.
- Participate in problem solving activities.
Key Competencies
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic or an associated field.
- 5years(for Master)/ 7years(for Bachelor) of experience in automotive inverter or OBC/DCDC. At least two product experience as the key designer.
- Multi-in-one controller design experience is a plus.
- Good foundation knowledge in hardware embedded system and power electronics.
- Familiar with the analog circuits, digital circuits, drive and protection circuits of IGBT/MOSFET.
- Familiar with the application of micro-controller, SBC/PIMC, gate driver, MOSFET/IGBT
- Experience within effective problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- AIAG/VDA FMEA and ISO26262 training is a benefit.
- Big picture thinker with an eye for details.
- Good at communication with English.
