We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior GIS Developer to help shape the future of geospatial technology at Watercare. This is a strategic, project-based role contributing to the development of a brand-new GIS platform that will underpin our digital transformation journey.
You’ll bring your knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and thought leadership to design and deliver innovative GIS web applications using the ESRI suite. Working in an agile environment, you’ll create integrated interfaces that deliver high-value geospatial outputs, enhance user experience, and support smarter decision-making across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to:
Build from the ground up – configure and customise a modern GIS platform with system enhancements and integrations with asset management systems.
Drive innovation – apply ETL processes, maintain spatial data infrastructure (ArcGIS Portal/Server), and embed GIS capabilities into everyday operations.
Collaborate and influence – work with cross-functional teams, support users through training and technical advice, and promote a customer-centric culture.
Lead change – contribute to improving delivery practices, cross-skilling across applications, and growing Watercare’s digital ecosystem.
