The team / how they connect
You will join the Paper Plane Pod within the Payroll - Time Attendance & Scheduling team, a collaborative group that values supporting one another and pairing up to solve challenges. We operate as a remote-first team across Australia and New Zealand, using lightweight practices and informal show-and-tells to share knowledge and maintain high quality.
The team is currently working on
Developing and maintaining scheduling and rostering functionalities using .Net, C#, and React.
Refining time capture and roster visibility tools to ensure accurate pay for small business employees.
Embedding AI practices across everything we do -from discovery through delivery, while remaining fully accountable for the quality of what we build.
Contributing to the architecture and implementation of distributed systems while refactoring monolithic components.
Where and how you can work
We are a hybrid team that offers significant flexibility. If you are based in Auckland or Melbourne, you will have the opportunity to see your teammates in person, while our fully remote members connect digitally from various locations across New Zealand.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
You bring proficiency in .NET and C# along with experience building interfaces in React.
Your background includes a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and the ability to debug across a technology stack.
You possess a growth mindset and a genuine passion for learning new technologies and AI practices.
Collaborative spirit is part of your DNA, and you enjoy contributing to a healthy team culture through feedback and peer support.
You demonstrate resilience and a self-driven approach to delivering high-quality, scalable software.
Taking ownership of outcomes is important to you, as is the ability to communicate technical impacts to various stakeholders.
