Meet the Team
The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.
Your Impact
You will design, develop, and validate wireless features across the full stack, owning both implementation and test automation to ensure high-quality system behavior.
In this role:
- Design and implement end-to-end wireless features across AP, controller, and management layers
- Own feature validation, including test plans, automation, and system testing
- Debug complex issues spanning firmware, networking, and system layers
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of features
- Drive improvements in test coverage, automation, and quality practices
- Collaborate across multiple engineering teams
- Promote AI-assisted development and test automation practices
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in wireless or networking software
- Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python
- Solid understanding of 802.11 protocols and system behavior
- Experience with wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X)
- Experience with test automation and system validation
- Ability to own features end-to-end (development + testing)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Roaming (802.11k/v/r)
- Mesh networking
- Load balancing / client steering
- QoS and traffic management
- Familiarity with lab setup and test infrastructure
