Role will participate in the implementation of technical and process innovations in frontend development, help in solving any emerging challenges and technical problems. Role will support the skill community, sharing your knowledge and experience with other frontend experts.

Main responsibilities:

  • Leading topics related to implementation in the Next Generation frontend for ecommerce,

  • Providing technical consultation on frontend related topics,

  • Taking part in code review to help improve team’s knowledge and to suggest improvements,

  • Acting as a mentor and guide on technical issues for junior developers.

  • Investigating latest technology and build quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs,

  • Promoting in the best-in-class development principles and quality standards – i.e. Clean Code, BDD/TDD

  • Contributing in in the Development Community of Practice to agree and endorse the development principles and best practices for the company development teams

  • Helping the organization structure complex engineering issues: technology, development methodologies, Continuous Improvement / Continuous Delivery

Qualifications & skills:

  • 5+ years proven track record in this role preferably in an international and multicultural environment working in classing and virtual teams.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) for software development and DevOps.

  • Results oriented: Proven track-record of delivering on targets.

  • Strong fundamentals in software design and development.

  • Professional experience in JavaScript development – including proven track record for NextJS, React and Typescript.

  • Experience in writing unit tests (e.g. Jest and other testing utilities).

  • Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.

  • Knowledge of CSS pre-processors and frameworks (preferably SCSS).

  • Knowledge of architecture design patterns and software craftsmanship principles (Clean Code, Clean coder, Clean architecture).

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery using continuous delivery tooling such as Jenkins/AzureDevOps and practical experience with Docker containerisation.

  • Understanding of performance, cross-browser / cross-device development, testing, optimisation, and frontend performance requirements.

  • Fluency in English—verbal and written.

  • Knowledge of UX and design sensibilities, wireframe tools like Abstract, Figma, tracking tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) is a plus.
