JOB PURPOSE:
As the Data translator CE, you articulate analytics proposition to manufacturing stakeholders, & conducts diagnostics in plants.

Report to: Manufacturing Excellence Director CE
Managing people : 2 Direct reports
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Analytics use case strategy:

    • Articulate analytics proposition to manufacturing stakeholders, & conducts diagnostics in plants to identify use case opportunities
    • Develop the Analytics implementation roadmap by identifying and prioritizing use cases to be implemented by the data lead and automation specialist


Analytics use case implementation:

    • Define technical implementation plan to deploy use cases successfully
    • Support data scientist to conduct operations & business relevant analyses & insights
    • Translate insights from advanced analyses to tangible & relevant outcomes for the business & operations facilities, in such a way that they can be understood & executed by production & business colleagues
    • Ensure developed models solve business needs and improve line performance sustainably
    • Create business cases associated to Analytics use cases to prove value associated and contribute to the Manufacturing SCA pipeline and cost reduction


Team management:

    • Provide direction, leadership and oversight for analytics team (Automation specialist and Data scientist)
    • Support data scientist to conduct operations & business relevant analyses & insights
    • Guide automation specialists in prioritizing the needs for sensor implementation, data connections
    • Develop change management actions to roll out changes related to data-driven decision-making in the plants, (e.g., training, adoption of new processes, data culture initiatives)


Communication and link with manufacturing teams:

    • Lead communication of analytics outputs with executives
    • Act as bridge between manufacturing & analytics specialists
    • Share insights with business stakeholders and collects inputs to verify and iterate analytics results

      • Manufacturing Analytics use case implementation roadmap (taking in consideration cyber security)
      • Performance metrics (KPIs) to measure progress and success of use case implementation
      • Technical implementation plan to deploy use cases successfully
      • Translation of insights from advanced analyses to outcomes for the business & operations
    • Influences :
      • Data infrastructure, sensor and automation tools development strategy
      • CAPEX/ Investment plan in plants to enable Analytics use cases
      • Selection of data analytics tools, software, or platforms
      • Training program related to data & analytics for plant teams
      • Data culture-solving skills
