This highly visible role reports to the CFO and serves as a key business partner across operations, sales, and accounting.

Position Overview

The Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis across a complex manufacturing environment. The role combines strong analytical rigor with cross-functional business partnership, helping leaders understand results, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that improve financial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and explain key business drivers
  • Develop reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to improve performance and support decision-making
  • Analyze costs, margins, and profitability across the business
  • Support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and process improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of FP&A experience in the United States, preferably supporting manufacturing, food production, consumer products, or other operationally intensive businesses
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with ERP systems and large data sets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong analytical curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Must currently live within commuting distance of the Greater Sacramento area
