Partners with the COO to build a proactive quality culture, improve thermal and aseptic processing, strengthen documentation and audit readiness, resolve microbiological and food safety issues, support product commercialization, and enhance customer complaint and corrective action processes. The role leads a technical team and requires onsite work five days per week in Merced County, California.

Serve as strategic partner to CEO and Board to build a scalable finance organization. Lead accounting, FP&A, treasury, commercial finance, reporting, ERP and BI transformations, capital allocation, M&A support, and cross-functional partnership to drive profitability, working capital, and operational efficiency.

Lead and build the marketing function for a growing food manufacturer. Own market research and syndicated data analysis, translate insights into product, pricing, and commercialization opportunities, partner with R&D and Sales on innovation, launches, private label and co-manufacturing programs, expand into new channels and markets, and hire and develop a high-performing marketing team.

Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, consolidated GAAP financial statements, intercompany accounting, and fixed asset accounting across a multi-entity farming business. Build scalable processes, controls, and reporting, support audits and tax deliveries, partner with operations to provide financial insights, and drive automation of recurring accounting tasks.

Support full-cycle recruiting for food and agribusiness clients: source and engage candidates, manage candidate relationships and pipelines, conduct industry mapping, advise clients on recruitment and compliance, format resumes, update the website job board and ATS, attend networking events, and perform ad hoc administrative tasks.

Lead finance and accounting for a growing agriculture business, partner with the CEO on capital strategy, manage lender relationships and debt, oversee systems and core financial processes, build a small finance team, and support M&A diligence and financing.

Lead and scale the HR function for a growing multi-site manufacturing company. Build HR strategy, talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, payroll/compliance oversight, change management, leadership development, and HR analytics. Serve as trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team to drive culture, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning while implementing consistent HR processes and risk mitigation.

Own and execute centralized People operations and HR systems (hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance, safety, I-9 compliance) while partnering as an HRBP with managers on RPRS, employee relations, and culture. Drive process improvements, build self-service resources and automations (Rippling as single source of truth), and routinely travel to California and Arizona farms. Spanish-English fluency required.
