Overview

    As Senior Analyst, FP&A at Bellwether, this role will support the portfolio management team of a large commercial real estate platform. This role serves as the critical link between asset-level analytics and fund level performance, owning the models and analysis that inform how capital is deployed, held, and returned. It offers broad exposure across the real estate team, direct engagement with senior management, and a meaningful hand in the decisions that drive fund returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast fund-level performance and analyze the economics of a large commercial real estate platform, translating asset-level activity into fund-level outcomes
  • Own, maintain, and enhance fund models; including updating projected and realized returns and tracking liquidity, distributions, capital calls, fees, and promote
  • Drive critical aspects of each fund's portfolio strategy, including hold-period optimization and exit planning and timing
  • Synthesize data into clear, concise observations and trends for senior management, highlighting key 
    business drivers and actionable recommendations
  • Partner with the Acquisitions team to deliver pro forma KPIs and return metrics on prospective investments ahead of Investment Committee review
  • Support marketing, fundraising, and investor relations efforts with timely analysis on fund 
    performance, forecasted results, distribution timing, and related data points
  • Lead the design and build-out of automated dashboards and reporting to serve the analytical needs of stakeholders across the platform
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for the portfolio management team as needs arise

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in commercial real estate or investment industries Senior Analyst, FP&A
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with fluency in cash-flow and return modeling and fund-level waterfalls; preferred experience with promote/carried interest structures
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formula-driven models, sensitivity analysis, and model auditing 

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Travel is not anticipated but may be needed from time to time.
