About the Team/Role
The Cloud Cost Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimizing cloud expenditures across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP). They are responsible for meticulous cost tracking, analysis, and strategic decision-making to ensure efficient cloud resource utilization. This position requires collaboration with finance teams to provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting.
How you'll make an impact

Develop custom reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable insights into cloud costs.

Generate detailed monthly cost reports highlighting spending trends, variances, and potential areas for optimization.

Conduct in-depth analysis of cloud resource usage to identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Provide rightsizing recommendations to align resource allocations with actual workloads.

Evaluate and implement Reserved Instances and Savings Plans to leverage long-term discounts.

Incorporate historical trends, usage patterns, and future initiatives into the forecasting process.

Collaborate with finance to develop accurate cloud cost forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis.

Maintain relationships with cloud service providers to stay informed about pricing changes and new offerings.

Educate teams on cloud cost best practices and optimization strategies.

Effectively communicate cost analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience you'll bring

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or a related field.

Relevant cloud certifications are preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret complex data sets.
