Purpose:
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will play a key role in developing and supporting Oracle EPM Cloud Planning solutions for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with a focus on Annuities, Cost of Funds, and Investment Planning. This role requires strong technical expertise in EPM Cloud, data management, automation, and Groovy scripting, along with domain knowledge of financial modeling for insurance, investments, and capital management. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Finance and IT teams to enhance system functionality, streamline data integration, and improve financial reporting.Accountabilities:
EPM Cloud Administration & FP&A Support – Develop and maintain Oracle EPM Cloud Planning applications, ensuring optimal performance for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Work closely with Finance to improve financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment projections.
Data Management & Integration – Develop and support EPM Automate scripts, Data Management (DM), and integrations between EPM applications, Oracle ERP (R12 preferred), actuarial models, investment systems, and other financial platforms to ensure accurate data flow.
System Enhancements & Performance Optimization – Implement system upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize system performance for efficiency and reliability.
Advanced Reporting, Analytics & Scripting – Utilize SmartView, Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR), Essbase, and Groovy scripting to build automated calculations, validations, and advanced financial reports that support business decision-making, with a focus on cost of funds, asset-liability management, and investment return projections.
Deployment & Change Management – Support system migrations, upgrades, and process improvements, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
5+ years of experience in Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and legacy Hyperion applications (Planning, Essbase, HFM, FDMEE).
Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with expertise in EPM Automate, Data Management (DM), and integrations with Oracle ERP (R12 preferred).
Domain expertise in Annuities, Cost of Funds, Investments, and Financial Modeling for insurance and asset-liability management.
Proficiency in Groovy scripting for automation, business rule customization, and performance optimization.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SmartView, Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in, HFR, and experience troubleshooting EPM Cloud environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM modules (EPBCS, FCCS, EDMCS).
Knowledge of MDX, SQL, VBA, or Python for automation and performance tuning.
Familiarity with cloud migration strategies, actuarial data integration, and investment portfolio analytics.
