The Business Partnering FP&A team has oversight of the forecasting, reporting and analytics of AIG’s general operating expenses and works closely with the various Business Unit, as well as the various functional owners to support internal management reporting and analytics.

This role is the key finance support for Enterprise Systems ($100M+ in GOE).  This includes IT support for the following functions: Finance, Tax, Treasury, HR, Legal.

Job description:

  • Monthly review of actual run-rate costs and rest of year forecast
  • Partner with Global Controllers during month end close
  • Monthly report preparation and communication for the L3 leader
  • Support of the Annual Budget Process
  • Review of pre-close GOE each month
  • Review of prepaid expenses on monthly basis
  • Quarterly Pulse updates and analytics
  • Analysis of third-party vendors
  • Finance support for Investment Projects which include business case development and tracking of project spend
  • Ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements:

  • Experience in expense management; experience in financial services industry a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to integrate strategic and operational information into quantitative analysis [and succeed with time, resource, and information constraints]
  • Previous experience supporting IT is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and ability to multi-task
  • Team player with good problem-solving skills who is willing to learn
  • The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have experience with quantitative and strategic analysis
  • Degree in accounting or finance, Master degree is a plus

For positions based in New Jersey, the best salary range is $96,000-120,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
