Position Purpose:
The Senior GL Accountant role at the Company is designed to support the organization’s financial integrity by delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to leadership and cross‑functional partners. This position necessitates a self-starter who can adeptly manage multiple tasks, projects, and shifting priorities within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the monthly close process, reconciling balance sheet accounts, resolving accounting issues, and preparing financial analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns and execute key aspects of the monthly close process.
Prepare journal entries across all business segments.
Conduct reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts at specified intervals to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Proactively address and resolve general accounting issues and inquiries from operational and corporate departments.
Deliver ad hoc financial and business analyses to support strategic decision-making and operational initiatives.
Focus on using technology to automate and add efficiency to current processes and reporting.
Play a vital role in preparing for financial statement and internal control audits, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and readiness for inspection.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
The Senior GL Accountant at the Company will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
This position does not have any direct reports.
The Senior GL Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting team, requiring collaboration across departments to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial data.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is not a significant part of the Senior GL Accountant role and will generally be less than 10% of the time, primarily for assisting in integrating new acquisitions.
Physical Requirements:
Performing the duties for the role of a Senior GL Accountant at the company generally involves standard office-based activities. These predominantly include sitting for extended periods and utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc., but may potentially require light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time, typically not exceeding 20 pounds.
The role also requires a significant amount of computer-based work which necessitates the ability to type effectively, as well as view and interpret data on a monitor or other digital display.
Clear verbal communication, both in person and through electronic devices, is essential for the successful performance of the role.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Comfortable navigating Microsoft Excel and large data sets.
In-depth understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey accounting concepts clearly both within and outside the accounting department.
Team player with collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Driven self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required for consideration in the Senior Financial Analyst position.
Preferred Education:
A Bachelor's degree specifically in Accounting is preferred.
Minimum Years Of Work Experience:
The Senior GL Accountant role is an individual contributor role with 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
Certifications:
Working towards earning the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
