Why Join The Team?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst to support our manufacturing and operations teams. This role will report to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and partner closely with Finance, Production, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide insights that drive business performance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to translate operational data into meaningful financial insights.

This is a full-time, on-site position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Enfield, Nova Scotia. 

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Work in collaboration with the production teams and the manufacturing leadership teams in an office and shop environment.

  • Support the Finance and Business teams on various ad hoc requests.

  • Prepare and post journal entries (JEs), including SRR, capital, and other transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including Scrap Repair & Rework (SRR) analysis with breakdowns and provide clear variance commentary.

  • Support in the annual Budget process by gathering and organizing and analyzing data for various budget proposals.

  • Assist with forecasting and long-range planning (LRP), including depreciation simulations, business cases, and financial modeling.

  • Support audits and compliance requirements by providing necessary documentation and insights.

  • Utilizing Business warehouse, Excel and PBI, for the development and enhancement of financial reports, dashboards, and forecasting tools to improve visibility and decision-making.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, BW)

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities

  • Understanding of cost accounting, capital accounting, and inventory processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders

  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation and process enhancement
